Hi again everyone. Here's another recording of my playing. It's the Khatchaturian Toccata in Eb minor. It's an impressive and percussive piece, yet it is not nearly as difficult as it sounds. It was not hard for me to learn, and it is very fun to play. My playing has a few mistakes, and I would love any comments or constructive criticism on my playing. Here's the link: http://www.savefile.com/files/3150922 Thanks!

what kind of piano do you own? it sounds kind of muffled. it sounds very impressive, and if you made some major mistakes i couldnt really distinguish them.
some parts do sound a little rushed and would sound better if played a little bit slower. other than that i thought it was quite good. id like to learn it, so could you send me the sheet music or tell me where to get it? my email is hockeypro327@yahoo.com
thanks, and keep on posting your recordings!

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I own a Yamaha U1 piano, and it doesn't have a muffled sound at all, but I placed the microphone on top of the piano without opening the lid, so that's why it might sound muffled. I didn't really make any major mistakes, but I think I could have done some parts better. I don't think you could find this piece on the internet, and I don't have a scanner, so I can't send it. Sorry.

but I placed the microphone on top of the piano without opening the lid, so that's why it might sound muffled. I think that's probably what it was. Or, if you did any equalizing (or didn't), it turned out a little bass-heavy (in a range where the piano doesn't play), so there was a little noise. Otherwise, it's a fairly clear recording. I don't think you could find this piece on the internet, and I don't have a scanner, so I can't send it. Sorry. Yeah...I tried looking and came up empty (except for a few pay sites). I wish I could provide some sort of constructive comment for you, virtuoso, but unfortunately this is not a piece I'm familiar with. I'll default to what you've said about your own playing--you will likely be your own worst critic (I know I am, in my 'private sessions' with myself...you know, those ones where you go into a room and curse yourself out for ever making a mistake? :p ). Oh, I did want to say that though I'm not a big fan of the composer, from what I could tell, you played well. (You kept me listening through the entire piece, which I must say is rather difficult to do when I do not really like the composer.)
