Greetings Forum, looking forward to collaborating with all you fellow musicians, well instead of some corny introduction i'll just let the music do the talking. I heard a recording of Liberace do a Chopin Medley, and I was inspired, so I got to work. This was recorded in my room using a Roland Fantom-X8 Keyboard. Includes bits and pieces from these songs: -Minute Waltz -Ballade, Op. 23 -Scherzo No. 2 -Fantasie Impromptu -Nocturne in Eb -Scherzo No. 1 -Etude Op. 10 No. 4 Hope you enjoy! Feedback appreciated. Here's the link: http://www.tyler-johnson.net/ChopinMedley.mp3 Probably best to Right Click ->Save Target As... Unless you want to wait for the song to load on your browser. -Tyler

Very nice, Tyler. My one bit of advice would concern your rubato (which was most noticable in the 2nd scherzo). I don't mind the use of a hefty amount of rubato, but I think it should flow a little better. It seemed that, rather than ride a smooth line of increasing and decreasing tempi, you kind of hit us with "brick wall" changes in tempo. Now, you do this once, it's interesting. You do it twice, it's calculated. You do it three times, it's detracting from the performance. Also, I think some of your rhythms were a little off in that scherzo clip, which may or may not have been intended (because you seemed to have the rhythms from the other pieces pretty well locked in). But over all, very nice. I enjoyed it.
