This lovely poetry has been helpful to me in the past because it is for true that we inadvertently offend someone and very much want to make amends. I would like to share it with you as I've had opportunity to repair a friendship with a student and her parent and musical colleagues. Thank you Miss Sandercox for words so well expressed especially for those of us who are musicians.

Music To My Ears
By Summer Sandercox

Music to my ears
'I'm sorry'
'That's not what I meant.'
Words that forgive
Words that forget.

Music to my ears
'I didn't think this would happen'
'Will you forgive me? '
Words that forgive
Words that forget.

Music to my ears
'I shouldn't have done that'
'That was a mistake'
Words that mend
Words that break.

Music to my ears
'I wish that hadn't happened'
'I just want to forget'
Words to remember
Words to regret.
