Ive been playing my P90 for a couple of months now I guess, and the other day it dawned on me how uncomfortable my generic wooden stool is to sit on. So I started shopping. I prefer a stool to benches and really liked the look of the Jansen piano stools with padding. My only reservation was I thought it might look strange with my keyboard as the stool is so traditional looking. Eventually I want a big upright and the Jansen would look great in front of one, but for now Id have to get something else. I finally settled on a drummers throne. It's a DW 5000. 3 inches of padding, adjustable, and the black seat with chrome legs and bracing look killer in front of the black keyboard.
I hadnt read much in the forums in the line of seating, but (pardon the pun) flat wooden benches are not very comfortable when you think of the hours we spend practicing. So, what works for you? Any other cool products out there?

I have a Casio PX100 on an "X" stand and so I got a "cheap" little "X" style bench. Someday I will have a nice grand piano with a nice artists bench....someday.....

For my stage piano, I use a Gibraltar drummer's throne - it's extremely comfortable, and I can swivel around to use the computer or play one of the guitars without getting up.

For the upstairs digital, I use a standard padded bench (which is OK, nothing special), and a Jansen bench for the grand.

I HAD a wooden bench, but it broke... So now I have a Quik Lok BX-718. It's an X style bench, thick padding, height adjustable (which I like because my keyboard stand is just a tad higher than the piano keys) and nice and sturdy. And since the keyboard is on a Quik Lok stand, it matches that nicely, too!

zoso, i never thought much about where i sit, i have the old jansen stool also for my digital--with no padding, my new used piano came with a nice bench which i rather like, i suppose i will spend more time on it anyways. i really like the drummers throne that is a great idea!!!

I use a Ludwig drummers throne for my digital piano as the bench it came with is kind of hard on my Tushy!

It gives me exellent back support since it has........ a back support!!

It also swivels to easily reach the super-high or low notes. I would highly recommend this to anyone as the bench (throne) itself is also VERY comfortable.

Last weekend, we rearranged the master; moved all the furniture around (big job). Why? My playing (piano) was so uninspired, I just needed a change of scenery. I also swtiched out the piano bench from downstairs. It's so much more comfortable playing now. Makes a big difference to how long your tooshy wants to be on that seat! \:D
