Having played guitar now for almost 30 years
I know guitar music and all the chord theory
I ever care to know. Here is my question ? If
using a lead sheet for guitar that is chords on
top and one single line of notes I play the notes
one octave higher on guitar.I purchased a piano
fake book and have no problems with left hand
chords and melody with the right hand,do I play these notes as written or transpose higher for
the piano ?

well, with a guitar, you have to think about just the chords and hand positions. but the piano, on the other hand, you have to think about not only the chords, but the notes, also. but good luck with your switch. hope that helped. ;\) -Elicia
