eromlignod Full Member Registered: 05/04/04 Posts: 379 Loc: Kansas City	Yes. I'ts an abreviation for "ottava", which is Italian for "octave". When under a bass note it means to go down an octave. Some modern music indicates the bass version as "8vb". Sometimes you may see "15ma", which stands for "quindicesima", indicating that you must offset by two octaves. Don Kansas City
