Take that!

\:D Hmmm... between the tuning and DC install, your piano will probably be out of commission 3-4 hours or more. Kathleen, warm those fingers up!

My fingers are still red hot from yesterday. I think I broke my all-time record by practicing for 5 hours. My husband took my daughter to a Cubs game, and after the tuner left (11 a.m.), I practiced the whole day. The only breaks I took were to feed my yappy dog and other unmentionable stuff. \:D

Whether I accomplished much, today's session will tell. I started working on my Holiday piece because I don't want it hanging over my head.

I am trying a new plan of attack in learning new pieces. Learning, memorizing, playing it up to speed...before going on to the next phrase, etc. I'll see how it works.

I hope no one is disgusted by my silliness in this battle of the sexes on the piano log. It's all meant to be in good fun. \:\)

AND the best results are the number of new people who have signed up. THAT was the real purpose of all my clowing around. I think we have almost trippled the original number.

How great is that!!

Good for you, really! \:\)

We had lots of rain and thunder in our area yesterday, and my dog goes a little crazy when this happens.

She kept yapping from the kitchen (she was afraid) and I had to stop playing and go in and hold her for a while. But as soon as I put her down, she'd start yapping again. This went on for several hours, so I only got 2 hours of practice time in.

I tried holding her on my lap while playing (something I wouldn't suggest to anyone), but that didn't work. Short of getting one of those back-pacs you put babies it, I'm at a lost at what to do with her when we have storms.

I'm glad you got all those hours in, and I hope your piano sounds better.

Peace!
Kathleen

Hi sophial,

No, it's not down. It can sense if a chick or a dude is trying to log on, and it's just keeping the chicks from logging in their hours. \:D

Yes, Sophia. The last time I tried it, about 3 hours ago, it was down. \:\(

NEVER, and I mean NEVER listen to anything the Dudes say. :p :p

Their collective noses have grown as long as Pinocchio's. ;\)

Keep trying on the log.

My Lab has the same problem when it storms- he gets so upset! I use Pet-Calm tablets- all natural and they seem to work. He mostly sleeps (if I have to give him 2) or just mellows out a bit. Better than the trembling and drooling.....

Thanks, Mak:

That's a good idea, and I'll check it out. She sleeps most of the time anyhow. But when it storms she wants to crawl inside my skin!!

Poor thing.

My partner has an English Bulldog that does nothing but sleep all day. Occasionally she walks from one side of the room to another, but it's mostly just sleeping. I wonder what she'd do if I gave her one of these.

I had no idea they had doggie valium. That is awesome.

My dog, although only 5 years old, does the same thing. Sleeps all day. Goes from one spot to another every hour or so.

Until recently, she is becoming stranger than usual. I think she is jealous of the time I spend in the living room practicing. So she yaps every 40 minutes or so.

Either to tell me her ears can't take it anymore, or she wants some company or a cookie...or all of aforementioned.
