32/2 Liszt Addict
62/1 claimed

15/3 is considered grade 7, the other two are grade 8.

Just curious, where do you get the grade information? 32/2 I played during my 5th year of music school (I was 11 years old), and I remember it was quite easy... 15/3 has a few cascading chords that I find way harder to play right (even now) than anything in 32/2. I wonder if I am missing something important here... Thanx.

BTW, I highly recommend 32/2, IMHO, it is one of 3 quintessential nocturnes (the other 2 being 9/1 and 9/2), the usual disclaimer (in my signature) applies

FWIW, for the benefit of someone considering one of these ... 15/3 is generally considered the least technically demanding of all Chopin's nocturnes that were published during his lifetime.

But, as Yuri already said, YMMV.

I wonder if the so-called Nocturne Oubliée should be admissible, too, if anyone cares to play it.

Given the grade 7 (still a stretch, but not 8 at least!), this note above, and 9 months to go, I would consider taking on the 15/3, but if someone else chimes in, please let them have it. If you need me to step in, I'm sure I'll find the responsibility of participating to be highly motivating!

It's definitely still in effect, just dormant at the moment.

Yeah, I just saw it pop up again at the top of the forum yesterday and didn't see the dates on the original post until after I replied.

I'll just focus more on my mazurka!
