Just got back from my lesson and want to thank each of you for your support and advice on using the tape recorder for practice sessions.

I think if was Bob Muir who said it would help not only in playing a given piece of music but also "performing" - playing for my teacher.

This was the first time I played without the usual tripping up - and my teacher said she heard good improvement - and that's something she very rarely says. So I will continue with the tape recorder and make more use of the Casio Privia.

Hope this wasn't "beginner's luck", and I continue to improve, slowly but surely.
