Perhaps I missed it and someone already posted this link before:

http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?search_query=NAMM+2008&user=keyboardmag1&page=1

Interesting (as far as watching videos on a computer can tell a lot) to see the same pianists playing different pianos at variuos booths, Estonia, Fazioli, Seiler, M&H ....

The video of Robbie Gennet playing the little Schoenhut piano is a hoot. The video of him playing the Estonia (looks like the concert grand) is interesting in that you can hear the wonderful growl, reminds me of the better Steinways. In contrast, the 9ft Bechstein has less growl, but a "clearer" sound to my ears (well, as much as you can tell with all the other background noise and considering it's a utube video).

Thanks for the link.

Thank you very much I enjoyed it very much. Especially the videos with Ryan Ahern playing.

Can anyone tell me why there are no videos of Steinway pianos?

Of those pianos played in these videos I liked the Mason&Hamlin, Fazioli and Estonia best. I would love to hear something classical on that Fazioli - but for Ryan Ahern's playing, it really sounds perfect. It has this evenness and clearness. The other two are more what I think you call "american sound" pianos. I love them too.

If I work really hard, maybe one day I'll be able to unite 3-5 in one big room at my home! All 9-footers.

Too bad out of all the pianos being represented at NAMM only these can be seen on Youtube.
Posting a less than delightful experience with one of the products is unfortunate for that manufacture.

Wish there were more to see than just the same ones being played by different artists.

I think he played more notes in 8 minutes than most of us play all day!!!

Are most of the examples concert grands? It seemed like the first 4 or 5 were. If this is the case, I think it's a shame since not many people buy this size and they can sound so different from smaller models.
