Thought you'd all be interested.

The school in which I work had a delivery from Hamburg to add to our piano stock. A very special moment from the school, taking the piano count to near 120.

The third pic showed a piano being wheeled in that might have been a wee bit small for a D. Thanks to Furtwangler, it makes sense now, except for the cost using American Steinway prices (satin ebony): 3*$132,000+$85,000 = $481,000. Tuition increase?

Now you have the special distinction of being an "All Hamburg Steinway School"??

Chetham's School of Music must be a fine place to hang out!

So nice.

The majority of the pianos are Yamaha (U3s for practice rooms, and C3s for teaching rooms and ensemble rooms). The Model Bs will be put into piano teaching rooms that all piano staff will get to teach on them in rotation.

Woodog, how did you guess it was Chetham's?

For those that don't know, the school is a specialist music school that offers first-class music tuition to those aged between 8 and 18, whilst offering a mainstream academic education alongside.

Not Woodog, but ah, the fun of internet sleuthing... The last pic shows the entrance to "The Carole Nash Hall".
