In the arrangement I have of Gymnopedie, in the 9th measure it shows a dotted half note F# in the treble clef being struck and tied over 4 measures.

At the same time it shows a bass clef half note F#m chord (in inversion A C# F#) being struck on the 2nd beat of each of the same 4 measures. The chords are not tied. The top note in the F#m chord is the same F# that's being held.

So I'm holding the F# but I'm also striking it? Or do I just hit the A and C# under the F#? Or maybe hold the pedal down after hitting it the first time and then take my right hand off and hit the entire F#m chord at the start of the next 3 measures?

Any advice appreciated.

Good question, I remeber now I had the same doubt, I think the purpouse might be to bring up more the F# from the harmony

Re-strike the F# in each chord and hold the F# as indicated through to the next measure(hold the F# through pedal change at at the beginning of each measure).

Yes, you clean the pedal on the bass note beat, first beat each measure, with F# held, then on the chord you strike F# along with the chord and so on...

I have found similar cases where the note to be struck while the other is held (like your F#) was in parentheses (probably added by the editor?) to indicate the music cannot really be played as indicated. In your case, I would play them as 7yritch suggested...
