No, I haven't seen the documentary. I recently finished reading "Wondrous Strange". I wonder if this book would add much to that very complete biography?

it was an interesting documentary, although it did get a bit monotonous near the end - mind you, not nearly enough to irk me about it but i just started to think afterwards if i really learned all that much about glenn gould from watching it. it certainly focused more on himself and his relations with others than it did on his music-making.
it was especially interesting to see the canadian composer/pianist ruth watson henderson explaining the type of piano technique that was taught to them by their teacher (at U of t? I don't recollect..). There was an overwhelming sense of nostalgia in the documentary, but - I would say to watch it if you have the opportunity. I would probably spend the time to watch it again.

What a really good book. I wonder what Bazzana is working on these days--- a cursory google search only turned up works through "Lost Genius."
I suppose the world has a limited inventory of characters such as Gould and Nyiregyhazi to profile... or, maybe there are more than I think.
