I missed A. Pratt's concert earlier this year when he came through this area. Richard Ormrod will be here next February playing with the Illinois Symphony. I'm fairly ignorant about classical pianists (and many other things.) Would he be worth seeing? My daughter would love it but my son would want to take his GameBoy even though he has the soul of an artist.

Hi DT,

I'm not familiar with this relatively young Welsh pianist nor did I ever see a recording by him. I'm not sure if the following bio will help you. Hope others more knowledgeable than I can offer more.

Thanks for the link. I see that Mr. Pratt will be back in April, '02. Maybe we'll catch them both.

In February, Richard Ormrod. In April Awadagin Pratt, the guy with the low stool and dreadlocks who once lived in Normal, Illinois. I think Eldon saw him earlier this year down by St. Louis but don't remember his review.
