A number of folks may have received the following via PM from a new user this morning:

Quote
Did you receive my previous email? I'm interested in speaking with you about a Project which I would like to work it out with you.

To further explain the possibility. I would like you to Contact me via my email address(mrslizanamurel@asia.com)to give a brief description of My project idea.

Please be aware that this is a phishing attempt, a scam. Don't respond to it, and don't click on or open any links in the message. You can message a mod about it and include the user name so that we can take action, but please be aware that PMs don't have "report thread" or mod functions, so we can't simply remove messages from everyone's inboxes.

This user account has been banned, but I suspect they'll simply create a new user a go at it again (the perpetual cycle of the internet).

Thanks!

Thanks!
(I didn't get anything -- I usually have PM turned off -- but I appreciate any such heads-up, including on behalf of the site.)

I thought the scammer's name was "Mrs. Lizard" when I read that PM, and as I don't trust lizards (not even cuddly or tasty ones - I've eaten a few - yum! smirk ), I knew it could only be a scam.......

Folks, we're seeing PM spam pick up again. If you get unsolicited PMs, don't click the links. And you can report the user to me or Bart K. Thanks!
