Has anyone been using this? Any opinions on this?

Background: I just found this browsing through my sheet music collection. Some time ago, I thought that this is too dull and tedious and probably of limited use anyway, but now I'm having second thoughts and undecided if I should give it a second try. I'm a beginner (2 years, self-taught).

Thanks for your feedback.

"This" is the title of the thread, see also here:

I notice it says "Always practice each exercises with a variety of touches and dynamics" As a self learner do you know what different touches mean?

Really I don't see anything new there (Amazon only allowed me to see one page without ordering something), and I can't help thinking that anyone would do much better learning music, even someone learning without a teacher.

Thanks. These were more or less my original thoughts, except perhaps for the part starting with "even ..." smile

By the way,you should be able to see more than just one page (the "surprise me" link), but it's not really necessary because they are all like the first page.

Keyboardklutz: I think I'm fine (touch as in legato/staccato etc. touch).
