We thought about an interesting idea of how to teach people play their favorite song on piano.

(It is completely free and ads-free, so I am not trying to promote it here, just looking for a feedback on this project).

So we created an online piano player - you select a song and it shows you notes to play in a graphical form (falling notes).

It is completely interactive - you can change tempo, scroll through the song, focus on a particular hand and if you have a USB piano keyboard, it will wait for you to press the right keys.

The idea is similar to Synthesia, but all online, and tutorials are built in.

We are also working on getting a streaming license from ASCAP, so this project is completely legal.

Here is the link and I appreciate the feedback!

This doesn't seem to be doing anything. If I click on a key I see a little ball dropping, but no sound. The dropdowns under the keyboard are empty. And I'm not going to install an unknown "jazz plugin" in my browser, sorry. This would be better if you made an ipad version.

Edit: Oh wait, I see it now, I'm supposed to click the images on the bottom to load a song. Not very intuitive. Anyway, haven't yet added a kb so can't test.

Does this work on ipad with usb connection kit?

Thank you for the feedback,
The Ipad version isn't ready yet, but is in future plans.
As far as browser, no need to install anything, it works "smoother" with the plugin, but also works nice with java. If you don't have a keyboard, all features are still up, but you couldn't practice hands. You certainly should hear the sound though. You could also change voices per hands.
I hope it helped.
