My plan is to learn how to play the piano properly. I've been faking jazz for several years, but my technique is very limited. I studied percussion (drums, vibes, marimba) while growing up, but I have never studied piano.
My biggest problem is going to be finding the time to practice as much as I would like to!! Between job and family, I am concerned I will not have much time for daily practice.
My family acquired a piano about three weeks ago. I forgot how much I enjoy practicing an instrument. Like many of you, time dissappears when I am playing. I could play for hours. My family is adjusting to having Daddy do something for himself! Playing has been remarkably therapeutic for me. I have been in the best mood!

P.S. I know there is lots of controversy on these forums about Hanon, but I have been doing the first four exercises diligently for the past few weeks and I am seeing clear progress
