At present, I only have the File Manager in the Piano Forum. (I also have the option to use HTML and/or UBB Code as Markup in the Piano Forum but none of the other forums.)

You might try creating a dummy reply in the Piano Forum and see if the same situation exists for you. (The File Manager should appear under Post Options, right above the boxes that say "Add ....")

I suspect that this is a temporary glitch due to PW's current growing pains and will be ironed out soon.

crusadar,

I may have bad news then.

Last night I created a dummy post to test the file attachment process. I had already read that the FAQ said "please note that you're bound by whatever the 'allowed file type' setting is for the board," and I wondered what the restrictions would be.

When I attempted to attach my PDF, I got this error message:

"We encountered a problem. The reason reported was

The files you may upload must have the following extension: : .gif, .jpg, .txt, .zip, .png, .doc, .docx"

Then I noticed that there was a limitation on the size of the file in any case:

"You can attach 10 files. Max. file size is 976.56 KB."

My PDF was several megabytes anyway. Dang. frown
