Hey everyone,
My name is kasper and I've been "lurking" around a couple of days in here now:)
No more, its time to emerge from the cave! Very nice to meet you all.
Just recently I decided to take up classical piano (after a couple of months break from playin) and I didn't really now where to start as I have only playe'd contempary music up untill now.
So I started searching the internet and I stumbled upon the possibiliy to download free public domain sheet music, which I thought was pretty cool because its non-copyright and therefor perfectly legal and ethical.
But this discovery stopped me in my tracks because I suddenly had an idea for a website. (looks like i will have to postpone my piano comeback just a little
My idea is this:
I figured...I'm spending heaps of time online searching for public domain sheet music, and heaps of time searching youtube for cool sounding classical pieces.
Now I'm no expert in classical music and composers and all of that, so i like to just go for what sounds nice, and learn based on that. So I thought...why not make a site where I have all of my youtube videos categorized by skill level, and all of my public domain sheet music linked up with those videos.
A sheet music dashboard where I can go to listen to some classical music, pick out a piece I like that matches my skill-level, download the score, and get to work! From the same platform...
So I started making this site...The reason I'm posting it here is because I'm curious if any of you guys(and gals) would find this kind of website helpful ???
Here's a link to the site (demo-version, many more pieces to come...):
