Hello I just wanted to share this with you: Im currently using Piano Marvel to learn reading sheet music. And heres what it looks like:
I still had to learn this piece by memorization of the scores.. but this is very much a milestone for me because I learned it only from the sheet music not tutorials as I used to do.

I know theres still a few mistakes... but this is just for fun and to show what it looks like when using piano marvel.

cheers

Good job.

Are you rubbing your left thumb at the end because it's sore or tired? If so, that's a sign that you're doing something mechanically questionable.

I always enjoy your videos, Erik. Perhaps it's because you haven't been playing for that long and you've persevered with learning these pretty tricky pieces. I'm also a big fan of ragtime, I just can't play it yet!

I'm going to have to give Piano Marvel a go when I'm through with my current method. See if I can actually get somewhere with it.

Im happy you like it smile .. it was the same for me. Had never heard it before but it really struck me when I found it on the piano marvel database.
And for those who want to learn Joplin rags: In my very limited experience it becomes a lot more easy to learn the Scott Joplin rags once you have learned one of them. Its definitely a steep learning curve for sure.. but then the rest will not seem so hard any more

It sounded great. I could hear enough mistakes for it only to give you a 60 out of 100!

Surprisingly easy, barely an inconvenience.

If there were mistakes in there, I sure couldn't hear them - I thought it was great! I'd be over the moon if I could play Scott Joplin like that!
