Hi all,

I heard some piano music on the TV the other day, I'm not sure if it was a piece or the backing for a song. If it is a piece then it sounds like it must be recent. I tried everything to find it, but have failed miserably and it's driving me mad. I'm going to try and explain as best as I can, so bear with me smile

-I think it's in b flat major, and a 4/4 time signature. Starts with an anacrusis;

RH Notes: }..C...¦.Eb....C...Eb......C.........G...¦.Bb....G...Bb......G...
LH Notes: C.......¦.}............................G.......¦.}..........................
Rhythm : 4...+...¦.1......2...+...3..+.....4..+...¦.1......2...+...3..+....

(I tried to line this up as best as I could, hope it's clear enough)

I may have over-complicated the rhythm but I have spent so long trying to figure it out. The left hand is two octaves lower than the right hand, and the 'g' and 'Bb' are just lower than 'c' and 'Eb', not above.

It also reminded me of Albaniz's 'Leyenda' in some parts, in case that helps.

Please offer any suggestions you have. Thanks smile

What was the show and more specifically what episode? If you remember, questions like these are often answered on Yahoo! Answers by knowledgeable people who happened to have also seen the same episode.

I don't know unfortunately, that's what is making is so hard frown It was on while I was cooking, but sounded like an advert. It's a very well known piece, I have played the little bit I have figured out to everyone I know, and everyone knows it, just not what is called. Thanks anyway!

Well then could you maybe post a recording of you playing it?
(I'm having a hard time reading that text-notation....)
