hi

i reckon every pianist (and budding pianist like me) has one or two pieces of potential songs but can't take them any further. Maybe people could post a little piece of music they have composed for others to play around with and see what happens, I would happily get things started if i knew how to load files up! can i do this here?

I'm terribly busy and have a lousy ISP but if people are patient enough I would have no problem joining. It is actually very much possible as I have done fun projects like these on other sites.

How it goes, if you have multiple people in the project you'll want to upload the basic files (preferable including a score, MIDI file or atleast chordsheet) to a host (putfile.com, megauploads.com) or music site (soundclick.com) so we can all access the files. We then decide on who does what and periodically show progress.

I'm not a skilled musicians by any means but I wouldn;t mind helping out with guitar, bass, drums, synths or mixing/mastering processes.

So upload what you've got and tell us how you see your song and where you want it to go. Maybe add a story if there is one and we'll take it from there.

Welcome to pianoworld by the way! smile

That's a pretty cool idea - My friend Tim and I used to work on each other's compositions all the time. It would be so cool to hear his ideas on what he thought would make my stuff sound better. Heck, I took his advice and wrote a piece of Tim into a lot of my pieces.

I'm game...for what bits of time I can scrounge up to take part.

Every day we are afforded a new chance. The problem with life is not that you run out of chances. In the end, what you run out of are days.
