Hi. i have a weird problem my clavinova clp 220. my english is poor, but i will try explain; if i press the some keys with angle (all finger power not to go down direction, some power going right side, its happen playing some one hand polyphonic things, like fugs) keys hardly pressing. i disassembled my clavinova and removed this keys, and attach again. problem solved smile but after days or months other key or keys do same problem, and i solved same way. i think, if i remove all keys and attach again, i will not face this problem for long time. anybody know this problem? why happening?

Sorry for my bad "like google translate" english smile

Lubrication. Removing the keys may have moved some of the grease around, and may have temporarily solved the problem. But I think you will need to add lubrication.

There is a post under the front of each white key. Apply lubrication to the top of that post. Just a small amount.

Yamaha sells the proper lubricant, but I saw a technician use a gray lithium grease, available at hardware stores.

It should be possible to change your 'Display Name' via the 'My Stuff'-->'Edit Profile' page.
If you require assistance, it's perhaps best to contact a forum administrator.

Kind regards,
James

I talked yamaha service for lubrication supply. and they don't sell it. and he told me, lubrication is not a solution, not about my problem, problem is micro fracture etc. but i'm sure, my keys are solid. i dont see a any crack, fracture. I dont trust his info, i think he dont understand my problem. he suggest, total keyboard change. he say; new GH keyboards are different then olders. if i want, they will order keyboard, (shipping from yamaha) it's 200-250 USD. Ok, total keyboard change is really cheap than i exceptation. but i trust people in this forum. i try lubrication first. I search this forum but i don't see consensus for "what kind of lubrication" thing. Any lithium based grease enough for this job? (i use lithium based grease for my chevy smile ) sorry for bad english. i hope you can understand, what i mean.
