Following three months of testing and searches I came to choose between the two models about the same price.
Your opinions to tip the balance toward one of the two .
Thank you!

Hello Denisica, welcome to the forum.

This topic Yamaha CLP vs Kawai CA topic is often discussed here on PianoWorld, especially in the past couple of weeks, where it seems the majority have opted to purchase Kawai.

Generally speaking, both manufacturers produce high quality instruments, therefore you should play-test the models under consideration as much as possible and purchase the piano you prefer.

Youtube videos are useful for learning about the instrument's features, but obviously cannot convey how you personally will find the sound and keyboard touch etc.

I would also recommend trying the latest Roland HP603/HP605, which compete on features and price with the Yamaha and Kawai models.

Best of luck!

Kind regards,
James

My wife and I were in your shoes just last week (see here) and opted for the CA67, as KJ stated, after having the opportunity to try both. Yes, both are fine pianos, but we definitely feel we got much more piano for our money with the CA67 than we would have with the CLP 545. And while this might not matter to you, it does to me: the CA67 is a very attractive piano (moreso than the CLP 545).

"We pianists can learn a lot by emulating guitarists....think of a "typical" guitarist. Someone teaches them 3 or 4 chords and they immediately start strumming away and playing dozens of songs. Amazing, right? It's that easy, too, on piano...and you'll be having a lot of fun without much effort!"

Depending on what you plan to play. Kawai is far superior for classical music due to its more natural action and somehow more responsive samples, but there are many Jazz players who would prefer Yamaha any day.
