Hi, i have this perfect condition used ca63 since a couple of months, and it is just oh so lovely. There's just one problem: i keep on max volume ( big room ) and, depending on the weather ( temperature ) it produces a buzz, resonating with the notes' frequencies.

It apparently comes from the keybed area. If i turn down bass, or volume, or both, it gets a bit better ( result apparently vary according to ambient temperature).

I tried and grabbed some cabinet areas while playing and hearing the buzz: the plank in front of the keybed, where the red led is located, the fallboard, the music stand. Turns out by grabbing the plank very tight, the resonance calms a tiny bit, but there's nothing really lose, since i'm not really able to stop the buzz by just touching here or there: it rather looks like coming from deeper within, and then building up thru different components.

It is not that serious, but I wonder if i can get rid of this. Any clue?

Bellicapelli, it may be worth contacting a Kawai dealer in your area, and/or Kawai's Italian distributor Furcht pianoforti to seek assistance. Even though I gather that you purchased your CA63 second hand, the dealer/distributor may still be willing to arrange for a technician to visit your home, and attempt to resolve the matter for a fee.

Kind regards,
James

Well, yesterday evening after work i went back to the piano to study... and the buzz was gone. I guess that's the climate related part kidding me.

I'll look into calling a technician if it ever should become worse. Fact is, i'll have to be lucky about the right day.

That's good to hear Bellicapelli. It seems that your CA63 has some additional acoustic piano-like characteristics. wink

Cheers,
James
