Okay, I finally put everything together.. the only thing lacking is some cable management. I had a hiccup where I realized I couldn't wall mount the TV, but I got around that with a floor mount on the table. As promised, here are some pics!

Piano Mode:

Piano "hidden", Media Center:

Costs (USD, out the door)
VPC1: $1596
Piano Bench: $125
JBL LSR308: $190 each (Missed deal @$170)
JBL LSR310S: $340
Speaker Stands: $78 for the pair
Behringer UCA202: $30
Speaker Cables: $30
Picnic Table "Stand": $35 (holds 800 pounds!)
Keyboard Cover: $15

I also bought a WS8550 stand for $85, but it looks like I'm not going to end up using it.

I think it actually looks pretty good. I couldn't find any pictures of a TV mounted over a keyboard so I had no idea what to expect!

The speakers are a lot bigger and louder than I thought, but I guess that's a good thing (until I get a noise complaint from a neighbor.)

Congrats, newbies. Looks like a nice setup.

That's a sweet setup, but isn't the music displayed on that TV a little big? Who needs music that large?

Gorgeous, Newsbies! Mine is just the opposite I have the sleekest smallest ultrabook, 11" and it doesn't even have a cover but the glass is exposed like a tablet. I'll post you a picture here, if you post just one picture of yours turned off, with just the black screen and no image. I bet it looks just like a sleek modern cabinet grand that way. smile

Yeah, the music on the TV is way too big. I'm planning on getting a 10-12" tablet that can stand by itself on the piano.

Also, I discovered that C2 is the resonant frequency of the walls in the room lol

Wow, that's a great setup!

Surely the largest notated score also...

Cheers,

I have some questions.

How does this setup compare to the CA65 you had? Speakers, action, pedals etc?

How do those speakers sound and do they really fill the room well (such as for those listeners who are off axis)? How much use do you make of that big subwoofer? Does it really enhance the sound that much?

Being short of sight (well short sighted, not blind) I could appreciate that tele screen music! But I still wouldn`t sound any better . . . . those speakers will blow your head off; best go easy on the volume or you could end up like Beethoven . .!
