Tried to do a search for this but whether terms I used or limitations of system, couldn't find any good threads.

Any information on price, best systems, etc would be appreciated.

Does installation of such a system have any long-term repercussions to the piano or effect playing it normally?

Does it necessitate cutting into the wood or permanently changing it?

Is it "invisible?"

My wife wants to know what makes something like this any better than a CD on a good 5.1 speaker sound system. LoL

Thanks all!

Dennis

Are you looking to add a system to an existing piano?

Here are your options:

1) Live Performance model LX
2) QRS PianomationII
3) PianoDisc IQ
4) Pianoforce

I would start by reading the section on player systems in the Piano Buyer(see free link in the left column).

There are those who feel that you might as well listen to a CD, but the fact is that an acoustic piano playing in your room sounds different than a CD played through even the finest system.

If you play casually, you may get lots of enjoyment from a system like this. If you are a very fine player, you might prefer playing yourself.

Thanks for the response everyone it is appreciated!

Yes, I'm interested in adding a system to an existing grand. I have an Estonia.

Took a look at the online Piano Buyer's guide. Very useful. Hmmm, sounds like adding one onto a piano already bought is quite the hassle...

Thanks!

I recommend the Live Performance LX. It's the best on the market.
