The website for the 2011 Steinway Young Artists Competition has just been updated.
The 20th Annual Competition has three segments:
Junior Solo Competition (no minimum age-age 12)
Senior Solo Competition (ages 13-18)
Concerto Competition (maximum age 18)
Auditions are January 28-30, 2011.
The Steinway of Chicago Young Artist Concerto Competition is the ONLY opportunity in the entire state of Illinois for a young artist to perform a complete concerto of their own choice (please see rules) with a world-class, fully professional orchestra and conductor! The winner will perform the concerto with the Lake Forest Symphony Orchestra--Alan Heatherington, Music Director.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for the winner of this competition - one that the winner may never again encounter in their entire career!
