Did ya ever imagine that your musical compositions would be performed, heard and loved by thousands of folks around the world on a daily basis 261 years after your death ???

Madison, WI hosted a "Bach around the Clock" - 12 hour marathon of folks sharing with each other their love of playing the master.

Somehow it never got the press that all the govenor/government protesting got at our state capitol over the last many weeks! I can't imagine why.

I'll have you know I was responsible for a full 1/12 of the "Bach around the Clock", in Madison WI! Originally I had said that I would provide roughly a half hour, but then the Moderator asked if I could extend that to an hour -- which I did. If you're curious about the program:

I'm pleased to say that it was a very responsive piano. There were some fluffs, which I expected "going in".It's grueling, though, to play a full hour!

The P&F in E minor, 'The Wedge' (for organ), has always been the outstanding Bach composition in my life. Happy Birthday, JS! (Horribly difficult, thanks.)

I didn't know! But I was playing Bach last night. And his pupil, Kirnberger.

What the heck. No google artwork, no more threads here. How could I miss his birthday!!!!!!!

I shall go home and sit at my organ and play all his music that I know. And parts of my favorite piece ever written- Passacaglia in C minor.

I like the Passacaglia and the Prelude and Fugue in e minor, but for me, his organistic masterpiece is the great Fantasy and Fugue in g minor (BWV 542). Learning it took me quite a while and cost me lots of nerves, but it was totally worth it.

To whom it may concern:

Please give or lend us back JSB for a year. You can have Justin Beiber AND Lady Gaga in return for eternity.
