No argument there, though I did get through the day without encountering
Der Hirt auf dem Felsen. I realize some folks adore it, but I've always found it a bit too precious, not to mention rather tedious. (IMO of course. In Heaven I'm sure it is in constant rotation.)
At any rate, Schubert was upstaged today by Seattle Symphony's incredible performance of Messiaen's thrilling
Turangalila.
