Is this too fast? Schubert impromptu op. 90 no. 3

Hello everyone...

This is an old quarrel on an old video of mine but it got renewed in a way, so there it goes...

Is this too fast or maybe Schubert wanted it that fast?

(Remember the 2 alla breve signs in the begining of the piece...)

What do you think?

Works for me. I did not check the score but the melody comes out very nice. Very nice playing! Who is playing?

It's one of those cases where, played this way, it is a very different piece. Like wouter said, the melody comes out nicely, and other than tempo discrepancies, it is a very nice performance.

I think, what you're seeing here is a cut-time marker for 12/8 time. Remember, "C" typically stands for 4/4 time, which this clearly is not. So, perhaps Schubert was trying to distinguish from that..

Its sounds good. Tempo is ok, but i dont like the way you play that inner voices...

I guess its ok, becuase it sounds convincing... but I would play it complete different way... you play it so energic, I would play it slower and more emotional, lirical not dramatic as you play it. But again thats your style...
