Piano Shift lever on a Baldwin baby - 02/23/13 03:21 AM
Hi all
I have come across a Baldwin baby Grand about 5'1" which had a keyboard shift lever which was broken in two. I looked all over the piano trying to find a serial number or any kind of marking but was unable to locate anything. I would like to find a replacement but not knowing exactly which model Baldwin this is I am not sure how to go about it. any suggestions? The other question I want to ask is has anyone ever welded one of these levers and were the results satisfactory? I'm new to the Seattle area and do not know my way around as far as shops or suppliers in the area yet.
