Hope you're all doing well, especially if you're on the East coast. Here is our interview with Yulianna Avdeeva, who won First Prize at the Chopin competition in 2010. Here, she talks about her background, her practice habits, and her time spent in Warsaw.

I too am a proponent of mental practice. When I compose, if it sticks in my head, that is a good thing. If it doesn't, it probably means it isn't compelling. While not always true, it is an interesting guide to writing interesting music.
