For those of you who are getting frustrated....

Heres something which happened to me. YMMV of course.

There are a number of pieces I tried as an absolute beginner and got nowhere. Too hard for me initially and I got flustered and demotivated because of this.

3-4 bars maybe mushed up. I gave up on them and went back to the beginners book. I could get farther along via various other techniques. But realise I learnt very little using these techniques.

Work finished yesterday. Normally I practice a bit, but gathering up my pile (and it is becoming a huge pile) of sheet music I rediscovered those pieces again.

Fairly fast repetitive pieces but 120-144 BPM.

Surprisingly I could these pieces with very few problems maybe lacking expression here and there but they seemed to flow nicely....

I'm amazed!

The growth has been slow and incremental and it only felt like yesterday I was tapping out a one handed one note at a time Ode to Joy and was mushing up everything.

I'm quite happy at my progress!

I see this is what it is all about!
