First of all, I have to clarify something, when I write "Strange technique", I am not judging the technique at all, the result is beautiful and each voice is very well defined, it is beautiful.
But it's different than what we often see and interesting so I think it's worth posting here smile

Are you referring to her hand and finger positions? Interesting, indeed. Looks like maybe she is just using those positions for this specific piece. She doesn't seem to be using them in this other piece:

Yes, that's what I was referring too. Usually her technique is "standard" (if such a thing exists amongst concert pianist) but here she plays with a technique I had never seen so far.
It's probably to help in giving each voice its independence (and it seems to work) but it's strange, sometimes almost like a little character dancing on the keyboard. Nothing wrong though, the interpretation is beautiful.

Mmm... the aspect ratio of this video is not right, the hands of both pianist look "taller" than they are... could this be the reason why finger movements seem exaggerated?
