Favorite easy piano song books - please list yours - 12/18/04 07:39 PM

I am working on three pieces now: Christmas Time is Here, A Whole New World, and My Heart Will Go On, from Titanic.

I love to play these tunes because they are beautiful and I am also very familiar with them already, which probably makes it much easier to play a tune in the long run.

I'd love to hear what your favorite books are, title of book, author, and maybe a few of your favorite pieces from that book. I'm always on the hunt for more music! With single-sheet music being around $3.00 to $4.00 for one tune, it's nice to find a book that has several tunes you love in it.

I recently bought this 4 volume set

http://www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/057656/details.html

It contains a wide range of well known show & film themes, pop songs, jazz & classical pieces (some in easy arrangements). They're all quite easy/intermediate level, & the books are great value. They're not especially challenging technically, (which may or may not be what you want), but they're mostly great tunes & good for sight-reading practice too. This is a UK site, but maybe you can get them in the US too?
