ABF gets mention in Clavier Companion (July/August 2009) - 08/19/09 09:23 AM
As lessons start up again after a summer break in my teacher's studio, I picked up the July/August issue of Clavier Companion magazine. In an section on Adult Piano Study, the editor introduces two short articles with a mention of the ABF at Piano World. Unfortunately, the articles are only in the print edition of the magazine, but they do have a website:

Here's what the section editor, Michelle Conda, had to say:
and a footnote:
No mention of "Just for those totally devoted to Chopin", but the ABF has been noticed!

To see just how serious adults are about piano, visit the online Piano World Forums. The Adult Beginners section is one of the most popular there with over 160,000 posts. Included in the threads are recital preparation (yes, they are giving onine recitals), a Liszt Devotee Club, and a Rachmaninoff Study Group. There are over 245 pages listing all the threads in the Adult Beginner category. How can you say these adults are "not serious" about their piano studies?
and a footnote:

Two threads that scared me on Piano Forum website were "My Piano Lessons are Getting in a Rut" and "Telling your Teacher you are Changing Teachers.
No mention of "Just for those totally devoted to Chopin", but the ABF has been noticed!
