Hi, I'm new to the forum and was wondering if any composers knew of any good reviewers/writers of piano music. I'm looking for publications that are not out of my league, as this is my debut CD.

The music style is somewhat like Debussy, George Winston, and Yiruma. Any ideas? And THANK YOU!

Welcome to the forum, David. smile

For new age music (which is where I'd classify Winston and Yiruma), I see a lot of reviews by Kathy Parsons, from MainlyPiano:

I would also recommend that you send your CD to David Nevue. He doesn't write reviews (that I know of), but he runs the Whisperings Solo Piano internet radio station, which gets a lot of exposure.

David has also written a book on how to promote your music on the internet. He's very successful at promoting his own music, so I'd consider him a good source of expert advice.

Last, if you look at the listing of artists that are regularly played on the Whisperings station, there's a column with links to reviews. You can look through those and see who wrote the reviews so you know where to start:

Monica,

Thank you so much! I am already familiar with Nevue, but I will give Kathy a try. And I didn't think about looking to see who had reviewed the other artists on Whispering. Thanks a bunch.
