Got up really early today 5am had a play as there was nothing else to do. Keys felt heavy...

Went back to bed for a bit played again (it was raining outside) and keys felt slightly lighter. Play mid day and the keys feel really light.

I've also heard anecdotes of people in Canada and N Europe who get their DPs delivered on winter days and the key action differs until it warms up.

Just how big a change are we talking about if there is any change and its not just me? UK Summer days are 16-26C, while I can't remember how it felt during the winter as the house is kept pretty cool at 13C

Let me personally, I'd be inclined to think that it depends on our physical, physiological, or psychological, and we will feel what surrounds us in different ways (echo in our state)

I grew up in northern Canada, so I suffer from April until November. Most people always seem to complain about being cold. In the summer a women complained she was cold. I asked her where she was from. She said Mexico. Need I say more! If any part of your body is cold including you hands, you may feel stiff. But the reality is, no matter how you feel or how any piano feels, to you, you will either play the piano or you won't play the piano. In northern Canada, if you waited for good weather, you might as stay in bed for the rest of your life.

Temperature and humidity may affect the key lube but that's about all I can think of.
