Hi, I know this has been discussed here before but I wondered if people have any opinions on two specific stands. I currently use a basic x-stand for my Yamaha p-60, but it wobbles like mad so I'm planning to invest in a sturdier one. I'm stuck between Yamaha's own wood stand for the P-60 or the Quiklok WS-S50. I've only seen online pictures of both, as none of my local stores stock either, and frankly the Yamaha specific stand doesn't look all that stable. Anyone got any experience of this stand (I think it's the L-120) or anyone have experience of using the Quiklok one?
Thanks
Kieran
I don't know if this interests you, but when I picked up my yamaha S08 sythn a few weeks back, I bought a Z stand. (I maybe be too wide to fit the P60) but it's very sturdy. Since I play guitar as well as add key parts, I set the board up for a standing postion as well as sitting, and it works out great for that too.
Are you talking about the Quiklok WS-550? I couldn't find the S50.
I have the WS-550 and LOVE it. Rock stable, nothing in the way of your feet, folds down to a TINY little T shape.
It holds my way-too-heavy P250, so it might be overkill for the P60 but you won't regret getting it.
It's height on the lowest setting is the standard piano height for the (rather tall) P250, so it should be good for your board as well.
Thanks for the suggestions. It was the Quiklok 550 I was talking about, and I think that's what I'll go with. Cheers for the help!
