Here is mine, those are my 2 youngest boys in front of the new K & C 600s (5'9"). Its hard to see w/the lighting & quality of the photo but my prized childhood clarinet is mounted on the right wall. Our music area is in our downstairs family room & takes up about half of the 13-15 ft wide x 35 ft. long room. The room widens to approx 15 feet on the other end by the fireplace--my childrens play area-look out for those remote control cars

Barbara :
I hope there's an electronic barrier around your piano. The nicks and dents that electronic cars could take out of the legs ... well, I wouldn't want to see it when it happens.
On the other hand, what's a dent or nick or two when you are blessed with little angels, huh?
Regards,

Apple, Thanks for the URL. I opened it and there are some nice pianos there. I didn't see how to upload a pic tho. I'm still wallowing in ignorance as to the procedure for this site! Maybe this will help. http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/fileuploader2.html (EDIT) (Ooops - I see apple* already post this in different topic. ) Another possibility is to save your photo to something like Yahoo photo. And then you call up the image, copy and paste the web position into the forum. That is what I do and it seems to work for me.

what nice pictures of great piano's & music areas! I hope more here post as well. Its fun to put a picture to a name. Bruce, yep, I always make sure there are "bumpers" across the room so that the boys cars & trains etc don't get across to the piano. They know mom would have a cow! Alot of the time they do the remote control stuff upstairs in the living room or their bedroom. Varcon, I am not computer savvy either, it took some time for me to figure it out & I'm still not sure what I did. Try that file uploader site that was posted above. Good luck, would love to see your music area.

Nice everyone.
Chris, how come you are not the self-proclaimed founder of the Black Piano in a Blue Room society? There are black piano in red rooms and plum room societies.
I like the piano(s?) Mikester. If you find yourself short on space, I'll take the TV!

BruceD's Estonia : http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/files/Estonia363.doc OK, folks, so I was able to give you the link to the file, but did not know how to make the picture appear in the post. It's an Estonia 168, purchased from Cunningham Piano Co in Philadelphia in February, 2000. With a serial number of 0363, it's one of the oldest "new" Estonias among the Estonia owners here. I love it, but am nevertheless hoping to move up to the 190 when I move in June. Regards,

Ok--thanks, Taiwan-girl! I have the picture uploaded but still don't know how to make it appear here. I have the link from PW tho! http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/files/Picture005.jpg I have no idea how to get it here with the other pics. Another site came up with lots of names but I couldn't seem to do anything with it. Thanks, Bruce. I made the correction and I see the URL works now. I didn't notice that I had made that error. Well, if anyone cares to see my pianos, now they can. Maybe in a few months I can learn how to make them visible here! Thanks again. Thanks again for the advice--both Apple and Taiwan-girl. Ralph

Varcon:
I couldn't read your "link" just as mamma2my3sons couldn't read mine.
But then I noticed that you typed it as hhtp.. instead of http. Once I made the correction, I could see your pic. If you make the correction to your post, it should show as a link and should work.
Regards,

I'll try this--it just might work. http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/files/Picture005.jpg Well, it works!! Wonderful. This is my studio so the books are out and strewn about because I use them. The mirror is to check on hand movements, position, etc. which is something I like as students often don't know what the hands look like to an observer. The piano next to the wall is a Mason & Hamlin BB, the middle one is an Estonia, and the one in the foreground (right) is an Horugel. The M&H and Estonia are for me and the Horugel is for the students. Two pianos make for more efficient teaching I think and then I like to do duos as well with the students--or concerto movements. Anyway that's it. BTW, the Horugel was given to me by a lady who no longer wanted it in her house. I just had to go get it! Lucky, huh?

OK, Here's my attempt. It's my 1967 Baldwin L. First shot, taken from the stairway upstairs, shows how the piano room opens up into the foyer. If you look closely, you can see my right leg. Another shot. You can see my hygrometer/thermometer on the left. The cabinets are handmade music cabinets, made by my brother-in-law. I decided to be honest and leave my unkempt stack of music on the floor. But yes, there is still more music in the cabinets! 3rd shot: A view from the keyboard: A view from the back. You'll note that the bottom eight strings (single-wound) are my new strings that were installed about 7 months back. And finally, a view of the capo bar, with the Baldwin info cast into it. Note also the little Baldwin "medallion" in the upper right of the photo. Chris

Piano first. ok here goes: http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/files/Mygrand.gif (the fireplace is functional but never used.)
