I need opinions please! My son is 9 y/o and I am interested in purchasing a Samick, 77 keys, upright piano. It's small but very pretty. It sounds lovely to my "uneducated musical ear". My son is in his 4th year of piano lessons, he is very serious about playing and has won several awards recently. No doubt he will continue. I am single mom, always broke, this piano is recommended to me by a National Piano technician. I trust him completely but have no idea if I am possibly cheating my little guy with the 77 keys. Any info you can pass on to me would be so appreciated. Thank you!

Is this an acoustic piano, with strings, that doesn't plug in? How old is it?

I'm not a piano teacher, but I would think that at his age, 77 keys would begin to limit him. Renting a newer, standard piano might be the best option for you. What does his teacher recommend?
