There has been talk about this movie since 2007. Apparently it is now done and will be released in April. It is in French and directed by Helma Sanders-Brahms (very a propos last name) . It has received very good reviews (previews only so far by some critics) It sounds sophisticated and insightful, focused on Clara but with good attention to Robert Schumann and Brahms. The director spent some time at the Curtis Institute, with Claudio Abbado and with Helene Grimaud in preparation. It should be interesting.. I have seen it in December (in Germany). Here is the (German) trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjQ1oPM0MII To be honest, I was a bit disappointed and don't think the movie does justice to the fascinating character of Clara (nor to Robert or Brahms). Maybe my expectations were a bit too high. I found some scenes and dialogues quite embarassing. Also, it's a pity that a film with Clara in the center contains absolutely none of her music. I don't want to spoil the anticipation too much, though. Judge on your own. Given the subject, I would recommend to view it anyway. Btw, when it comes to fact/fiction about Clara, I really enjoyed this book, which is half novel half biography. Unfortunately it has not been translated to English (yet): http://www.amazon.de/Clara-Schumann-Klavier-Ein-Lebensbuch/dp/3596142032
