One year anniversary at PW

It was one year ago today that I made my first post at PW in the digital forum, when I was researching for a piano. One year later, I have become part of a cyber family, with friends beyond the borders of the US. For better or for worse, my piano playing has been heard by more people than in my whole previous piano life, thanks to the Piano Bar, and the wonderful quarterly Recitals. And totally unexpected and unplanned when I first joined, I am now learning to play the piano by ear, a skill I didn't know was learnable - all thanks to the (gazillions of) posts at ABF. Thank you to Frank B. for creating such an awesome community. Thank you to each and everyone of you for making the ABF such a wonderful place. Thanks for sharing all sorts of information, encouragement, inspiration, warm support, the joys and sorrows of your personal life, and your wonderful humor.   P.S. Looking at the number of posts I've made, it'll be 10 years when I'll catch up with Monica's current post count!  I'll make sure to post a 10-year anniversary thread!

Just where does the time go? I cannot remember not knowing you.
Something about meeting like-souls and having them enter your DNA. Of course, their are people I have known since forever, and can't remember them, so maybe you are not special and it's just me....

Zak, Betty, gmm1, LaValse, Lisztener, It's my joy that you are all part of my family here, albeit a crazy one! I think I pick up that crazy mutant gene from Mr. SH first - that's the "nature" part, and then gmm1 provided the "nuture"! Didn't realize Lisztener and Betty are only about "a year old". Seems like you are such veterans here.
