Has it crossed your mind that Weiyan may be deliberately de-tuning and re-tuning unisons, in order to practise?

Sorry I didn't understood that this is a training piano. It is incorrect act: In begin loose the string and pulling back the string again.

I am practicing unison tuning.

There are many street dogs around my house. I am in rural area keeping dogs are allowed. If you follow my posts, you will hear birds and insects sing one or two months later.

Of course, we will listen to your unisons. I am personally looking for something in them for yourself useful, because so far I can not do them properly. However, what I heard howling puppy and moving cockroach clearly indicates my attention and interest when watching your movie. These natural sounds attach the process little charm. Good octave 4 and 5. For me

Octaves are really difficuly to tune withoput any check.

May be it is just experience, but I recall having alesson with a Master tuner when I was beginning to learn.

He made me tune octaves only, and did not test them by 3d 10th, or whatever interval, only by luminosity .

4th and 5th tells me more about the octave than 3d and 10 th , today

Not bad Weyan but the most important move is when RAISING the note, not when going backward.



You move the tuning lever a little too fast yet, it is too fast to feel the springiness of the pin precisely.

You seem to listen sooner in the tone, but you can listen a little sooner, and avoid listening tho the filtered beat until the last controls.


Why ? because the way the tone grows at its beginning show how it will behave later

Pitch dropping. Don't know why the piano go too high. The whether is warmer the pitch should drop.

It needs uncharge the pin until it lower than target pitch, then charge. If just uncharge little then charge the pin, it seems not hold the pitch. F#3 and G#3 is is troublesome. Today only need to touch F#2 after the tuning session.

Took 18 minutes to tune F3 to C5.

Warmer weather goes usually with more humidity, hence pitch raising.

the real tuning is done when you raise, the rest is stabilisation and touch up.
