I hope no one gets tired of a new member's oddball posts. Assuming that here's another.
Does anyone (else) here do "air piano" I've been doing it for years whether on a table, desk or mid air
Last spring I was doing that in a pub to an Irish band My pal said I should really take up the piano because it looked like I was actually pressing the correct keys more or less
So I did and here I am My air piano has improved-the real deal is so so for now

I find myself doing five-note scales while studying at Starbucks.

I have ried air piano on the table or my lap but I get lost because there is no "touch". I have heard people on the forum say that when they are at parties, or almost anywhere they think about the piano. That gave me the idea that when I am at coffee I could run down my scales in my brain because as a dyslexic I have trouble going backwards on scales, especially in thirds.

So I did and here I am My air piano has improved-the real deal is so so for now In a place I lived for 5 years until recently I used to sit in bed of a night listening to classical piano music (usually Chopin) and my fingers would wriggle about and ache and then I knew I'd go crazy until I got a piano and started learning to play. No other instrument quite cuts it for me in terms of feeling- the feel of my fingers on keys is something else. Don't get that with guitar.

During boring meetings I practice 4-5-4-5-4-5-4-5-4-5 discretely.

The thing I find odd is that forum is years old and no one seems to have brought this topic up before Good to know There are others that have the same habits!
