Hello everyone! I'm very interested in learning to play piano. I've come to the conclusion that I want to start on a keyboard. Are there any that you might recommend?

I know that weighted keys are important.
My fingers aren't the longest.
My budget is around $200.
I'd like something that comes with a stand and headphones.

Someone suggested this to me earlier. Is it a good buy?

Any help is very much appreciated!

I hate damper your enthusiasm, but you're going to find it very difficult to get any kind of keyboard with a weighted action (keys) for $200. Much less adding a stand and a set of headphones to that. If you're to have any hope, you'll need to find something used. You might check your local craigslist or ebay listings and hope to find something you you can afford. Otherwise, you'll need to save up a bit more money for your purchase. Useable, low end digital keyboards with weighted actions start at about $450-500 new (Casio CDP 120 or Yamaha P95 are probably the best choices in this price range).

Good Luck! smile

For $200 your better off looking in the 2nd hand market

Your budget is too low for new. See this thread. A Casio or Yamaha mentioned there may be a starting point.
