I worked for a time at a Steinway dealership and have helped pros move large grands, so I'm very familiar with how that's done.

What is the typical/accepted way to move an N3 that has already been set up in a home and now it's being sold and the new owner will have to move it? Is it moved/transported in the same way/position as the typical accoustic grand?

Thanks for any information.

Yes. Furniture wise it's identical. Id have Piano movers do it, or at least movers with Piano moving experience because they need the right size dolly and protective/scratch resistance blankets. The legs and the pedal lyre come off and it gets moved sideways through doorways. And needs to be reassembled at it's new location. If the new owner is concerned call a local Yamaha dealer to send an experienced Tech to do the reassembly.
