Hi all, grateful for any advice on this, is it still a good bench in your view? ..I'm in need of a new piano bench as mine is uncomfortable and creaky! Andexinger 484 seems to fit the bill, probably the s version in artificial leather (or cloth? Any pros or cons to this?). Quite a purchase without seeing or trying one! Thanks.

I've had an Andexinger 484S since 2013 and it's still perfectly good. Mine has the vinyl covering. I suppose it's more hard wearing than cloth. It's a very solid and heavy bench.

I have the Andexinger 434 with cloth top. It's by far my favorite bench. The cloth is clearly a plasticky synthetic material (polyester and acrylic) and it feels more resilient/sturdy than supple. The plus side is if you have kids, stuff like dried egg/yogurt flakes off the finish easily smile

My only "complaint" about the Andexinger is that apparently I'm used to benches with thinner cushioning, and the Andexinger's is actually quite thick and plush, which makes it a tad harder for me to judge the optimal height to set it at and how much I should be shifting my weight around as I play (it's kind of hard to explain), but this is really minor. It's definitely more comfortable after an hour or more of playing.

Sounds like you've ordered all ready, but I have the same bench, and it's great. My only complaint is that in the winter, the cloth top is very prone to making static electricity and I need to remember to discharge myself before I get up or touch any electronics. Otherwise, it's a very sturdy bench (I'm not a small guy, 6'4" and pushing 270) and it's a good as the day I got it 2 years ago. No problems with the hydraulics, sturdiness, or finish. It's definitely been a great value compared to the other leading hydraulic bench, the Hidrau. Since I bought mine, I see there are a few cheaper options but don't know the quality.

It arrived today! Only ordered it Thursday I think. Should have done it years ago! Very solid. Smooth operation and very comfy. Thanks all for advice...
